Cookies Policy
Last updated / 18 July 2026
This Cookies Policy explains how ImpactMiles uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit the Platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice and Terms and Conditions.
1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixel tags. In this policy, all of these are referred to as "cookies".
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Required to run the Platform, including authentication, session management, load balancing and security. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the service.
Functional
Remember your preferences such as language, wallet display options and dismissed notices. Removing these means you will see default settings on your next visit.
Analytics
Help us understand how the Platform is used in aggregate so we can improve it. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not build cross-site advertising profiles.
Performance and security
Detect abuse, prevent fraud and monitor uptime. Some of these cookies are set by infrastructure providers acting as our processors.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the public Platform.
- We do not fingerprint your device to identify you across unrelated sites.
4. Managing your preferences
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or transacting. Most browsers include a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal which we honour where technically feasible.
5. Legal basis
In Hong Kong we rely on the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance ("PDPO"). For visitors in the EEA and the UK, our lawful bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR are: (a) your consent for non-essential cookies; and (b) our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional platform for strictly necessary cookies.
6. Retention
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies are retained for no longer than needed for their purpose, typically up to 13 months, unless a shorter period is required by law.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date.
